The online ‘salon’ is for hairdressers and trainees to explore. By clicking on different areas of the salon you will learn about eco-friendly/sustainable techniques and products. You will learn how to save time, water, energy and your money! We estimate that a small 4 seater salon that adopted our suggestions would over a year save over £5000, save 24150 kWh energy and 143 thousand litres of water! The development of our sustainable stylist/salon certification has also helped to professionalise the industry. Over 2000 trainee stylists have completed our virtual salon training programme and received sustainable stylist certificates since we launched it in Oct 2016. This certificate also enables salons to gain the associated sustainable salon certification.)

It takes most stylists between 30 and 45 minutes to complete, and if you need to quit you can log back in later to resume from where you were.

Completion of the of virtual salon training platform will qualify you for a sustainable stylist certificate.

Upon completing the training it will tell you how to get the certificate – please follow the simple instructions. Once completed the certificate will be with you within one week. During holiday periods up to 2 weeks.
