To ensure that we are able to welcome you into a safe learning environment, regardless of location and qualification, we require to complete some online training. 

You are rewarded for your training with some lovely PDF certificates, that you can upload to your tutor or learning advisor (link below!), but also, get sharing on your socials to let people know that you also take the safety of yourself and others seriously! It's all part of our Caring core values!

Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

Safeguarding is an important part of everyone's life. To ensure our learners are able to identify which problems may require additional support, or intervention, we provide basic safeguarding training. We will also be discussing these topics throughout your sessions, and you will find details of who you can contact if you feel that you need to report an issue on the posters on site. 

The PREVENT duty requires all citizens to be aware and alert to, and subsequently report radicalisation. It does not refer to preventing learners from having political and religious views and concerns, but to supporting them to use those concerns or act on them in non-extremist ways.

British Values are a set of 5 values that we promote to all learners and team members at STC. These values support a harmonious community, and a safe and happy environment. These values are:

These short courses will give you further details, information and examples to help you understand these aspects of working and living in a wider community, and will provide skills for life and work.

Your training will generate pdf certificates, and we will be asking you to upload these later in the task.

Instructions

Click on the ETF Learners link or alternatively cut the link and go to PC browser and insert the above ETF Learner Link or type in ‘etflearners.org.uk’.  This takes you to the ETF Learners Home page.

If it is your first time here, you will need to set up an account.  You are prompted through ETF Policies and Procedures and Content pages and then asked to create an account, by adding a Username (lowercase) and a Password and your email address

An email is then sent to your email address, and you are asked to confirm account and complete your registration

At the Email …

You are notified that an account has been set up for you and that you should access the link contained within the email

You then receive notification that your registration has been confirmed and can continue onto the resources
